An MOT is a mandatory test for all vehicles over 3 years old (unless they are exempt as 'classic cars').

It’s important not to schedule your MOT too far in advance or too late, so knowing your exact due date is essential.

Remember, you can have your car tested any time before the expiry date, but only up to one month (minus one day) earlier if you want to keep the same MOT renewal date for the following year. For instance, if your current MOT expires on 4th March, the earliest you can book your MOT test to maintain the same renewal date would be 5th February.
